'Marionette' is a song that was once considered the worst of our new material. After initially writing and demo-ing the song, it was left on the Flying Batteries Hard Drive untouched for about 6 months...until we started to open up to the forgotten works in progress, and the song was touched up to (close to) its current state. After giving it The Hai treatment, in which Hai members mercilessly tear the song apart looking for things that can be "fixed", the song was finished. I wanted to put Marionette out as the lead track on this EP because it reminds me that even if a song is initially unappealing, it depends on the time and effort you put into it. I can assure you, Marionette has plenty of both.

The rest of the original songs on this EP are various bits and pieces that were once considered parts of the upcoming album, but unfortunately no longer fit the theme and growing standard we want for this next release. We hope you enjoy the EP, and it keeps you wanting more.
